Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Winterveil Expeditions. By accessing and using our website or booking any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Winterveil Expeditions website and services, you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Booking and Payments

All expedition bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A deposit may be required upon booking, with the full balance due by a specified date prior to departure. Payment methods include major credit cards, bank transfers, and other options as specified during the booking process. Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of your booking.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by expedition and will be clearly outlined at the time of booking. Generally, cancellations made within a certain period before departure may incur a fee or result in forfeiture of the deposit. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the specific terms outlined for your booked expedition.

4. Participant Eligibility and Health

Participants must meet the minimum age and fitness requirements for their chosen expedition. All participants are required to complete a medical questionnaire and declare any pre-existing conditions. Winterveil Expeditions reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual deemed medically unfit or a potential risk to the safety of themselves or the group.

5. Safety and Responsibility

Safety is our top priority. All participants must adhere to the instructions and decisions of their expedition guide. Winterveil Expeditions takes all reasonable precautions to ensure safety, but participants acknowledge the inherent risks associated with adventure travel, especially in glacial environments. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings.

6. Itinerary Changes

Winterveil Expeditions reserves the right to alter or cancel itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, or political unrest. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made, or a suitable refund may be offered at our discretion.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend and in some cases require that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, personal liability, and loss of luggage. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to departure.
